Compost
TIME FOR GARDENING?
Aarons Landscaping and Tree Services carries topsoil! Topsoil is the outermost layer of the earth’s crust and contains essential minerals and nutrients for plant growth. Usually reaching no more than 8 inches deep, it is rich with organic material and provides a fertile environment for a strong root base. Healthy topsoil is dark brown, moist and full of chunks of plant matter.

FILL DIRT
Fill dirt is earthy material which is used to fill in a depression or hole in the ground or create mounds or otherwise artificially change the grade or elevation of real property.
Fill dirt is usually subsoil (soil from beneath the top soil) and underlying soil parent material which has little soil organic matter or biological activity. Fill dirt is taken from a location where soil is being removed as a part of leveling an area for construction; it may also contain sand, rocks, and stones, as well as earth.
TOPSOIL
Top soil is the upper, outermost layer of soil, usually the top 2 inches (5.1 cm) to 8 inches (20 cm). It has the highest concentration of organic matter and microorganisms and is where most of the Earth’s biological soil activity occurs.
Topsoil is a wonderful additive to any gardening and lawn planting.
COMPOST
Composting is nature’s process of recycling decomposed organic materials into a rich soil known as compost. Anything that was once living will decompose. Basically, backyard composting is an acceleration of the same process nature uses. By composting your organic waste you are returning nutrients back into the soil in order for the cycle of life to continue. Finished compost looks like soil–dark brown, crumbly and smells like a forest floor.
